 Air & Water Committee Minimize

The Air & Water committee focuses on issues impacting air and water quality in Ouray County.

Goals: Take action to monitor and protect the quality of our air, rivers and streams.
Monthly Meeting: Second Monday of the Month at 3:00 PM at Coulter's, 142 Canyon Dr, Log Hill Village.

 Education/Public Relations Committee Minimize

The Education/Public Relations committee focuses on getting information out to the public.

Goals: Ensure that the monthly ROCC meeting is well advertised
Get speakers for the monthly ROCC meetings
Organize at least one community forum
Submit articles about ROCC and associated events to the local newspapers
Monthly Meeting: The Tuesday after the monthly ROCC meeting at 1:30 PM at the Ridgway Library

 Energy Committee Minimize

The Energy committee focuses on energy issues in Ouray County.

Goals: Take action to promote energy conservation and sustainable, clean energy production.

 Land Use Committee Minimize

The Land Use committee focuses on land use issues such as zoning and planning.  This is one of the most important issues to all residents of Ouray County.  The committee is working on a variety of projects that will impact the future of sustainable growth in our county. Committee members meet regularly with county officials to stay abreast of current issues.

Goals: To monitor County public hearings and development and influence land use decisions in Ouray County.
Monthly Meeting: Second Tuesday of the Month at 3:00 PM at the Ridgway Library Conference Room

 Public Lands/Wildlife Minimize

The Public Lands/Wildlife committee focuses on the public lands which make up over 50% of Ouray County.

Goals: Take action to protect our public lands and wildlife.
Monthly Meeting: Third Thursday of the Month at 6:00 PM at the Ridgway Community Center just prior to the ROCC monthly meeting
