  • Land use policy, which is socially responsible, economically viable, and respectful of our citizens’ property rights
  • Public lands management which is ecological and sustainable
  • Renewable energy resources and efforts to conserve energy in our region
  • Sustainable living practices including promoting local foods
  • Water resource management practices that provide for a healthy watershed
  • 'Good practices' management for Colorado's gas & oil operations that create a culture of safe operations and that do not harm public health

The Ridgway Ouray Community Council (ROCC) is a nonprofit community organization whose mission is to build, nourish and protect the healthy spirit of our community.  ROCC is dedicated to quality of life issues that will help shape the future of Ouray County.
