Why Join ROCC?
ROCC's Mission: ROCC works to enhance Ouray County's quality of life through education, protection of the environment and promotion of social justice.
As a member of ROCC your voice joins with others as we coordinate winning strategies on regional issues such as smart growth, social justice, clean energy & renewable resources, wilderness protection, recreation access to public lands and water resource management.
ROCC is an affiliate of Western Colorado Alliance for Community Action (WCA), a grassroots alliance of Western Slope community groups. WCA is in turn a member of Western Organization of Resource Councils (WORC), a multi-state coalition of community organizations. WORC provides access to regional and national platforms for issue advocacy as well as education and training opportunities.
As a ROCC member, you receive a WCA quarterly newsletter that details the issues people like you care about. We welcome all concerned citizens. Come share our vision, meet great people and have fun too!
